ALNF x SEED Like the Australian Literacy & Numeracy
Foundation, Seed believes that literacy
is freedom. Confidence in reading and
writing can transform a person’s life
and open up their world.
Since 2020, we have partnered with the
ALNF to support their vital work. This
year we have collaborated with artists
Miimi & Jiinda to create a bucket hat,
with all profits going to those in need.
Let’s help those bright sparks learn.
MEET MIIMI & JIINDA Proud Gumbaynggirr women Melissa Greenwood and Lauren Jarrett collaborated with Seed on this year’s ALNF partnership. Celebrating their culture and country, their beautiful artwork is printed on our bucket hat. We caught up with the mum-and-daughter team, as well as Melissa’s children, Harper and Ochre, for a photoshoot with a focus on learning and creativity.
Literacy is lifechanging. It’s a very powerful tool and one that is particularly important for Indigenous kids to learn from a young age. Melissa Greenwood
LITERACY IS FREEDOM The ALNF works to support learners, parents, and teachers in underserved communities. Their Early Language and Literacy program helps give kids the very best start in life, while their Living First Language program aims to preserve and revitalise Indigenous languages. By purchasing our bucket hat, you are helping more people access these incredible programs.
